POSTED: 11:34 am CDT September 10, 2007
UPDATED: 11:46 am CDT September 10, 2007
NOBLE, Okla. -- A Noble police officer is out of jail on Monday after being arrested on suspicion of DUI and carrying firearms.

Norman police arrested Bobby Brent Sirpless, 31, Saturday night and booked him into the Cleveland County Jail.

Police said a witness saw Sirpless hit another car and then took off. The witness then called police and followed Sirpless until officers caught up to him, police said.

There was no word as to what happened to the driver who was hit.

Sirpless has been with the Noble Police Department since December 2005

I'm sure he's upset because his fellow officers had to turn themselves in today - so he had to have a few drinks and then drive.

I think they have something like 7-8 officers on the entire department. With three out, it must be rough on the rest.
