Thanks for posting this. I heard about the concert but did not go. I went to the Summer of Love 40th anniversary concert last week in Golden Gate park and am still recovering from that. :-). Perhaps others were too. They expected around 20,000 people but it ended up being around 100,000 people. It was a nice event and perfect weather. The crowd was very well behaved too. I never noticed one police officer. Only one old old park ranger. Of course, I'm sure there were some undercover. I was surprised at all the Ron Paul people there. That was the only political candidate I saw people passing out flyers for. That was sort of surprising to me although I have noticed a lot of Ron Paul bumperstickers around here. I don't think he has much of a chance to win though. My guess is that it will be Rudy against Hillary but we will see!

It is working for me now. It looks like it was a lot of fun.
What was supposed to be so "enlightening"?

Just to see the particpants... not too many of these gatherings here in the land of "Gawd, Guts, and Glory".

Looks like the same crowd that has been marching in SF since the 1960's. Hell, they are even wearing the same costumes.

Those photos should put to rest the rumor that guys join protests for the women.
Eeeek. ::shudders::

It looks like a festival.
I don't know what you tight-wads have against fun.

Dhrama, if that was just supposed to be a fun festival it wouldn't have been so funny. This is what anti-war protesters, socialists, etc. are reduced to.

Absorb it. They are your peer group. And if you think that looked like fun, you make my point.

You seem to be saying that the women there were ugly.

OP - thank you for the much needed laugh. That was truly funny.

And FT - those women are hideous. Every one of them, fat demopiggys.

A cherry-picked slide show from some war monger?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

If you are gullible enough to believe that actually represents the reality of everyone who attended then I have a bridge to sell you out in Minnesota.

Certainly in San Fran.

I'm still laughing at the Visa/MasterCard sign perched atop the commie booth. I mean, these people are soooooo fucking dumb, it's laughable.

Seriously - the notion that a bunch of pot smoking, fat, college freshman were making a "pRoFoUnD" political statement at this so-called rally cracks me up. Guffaw.

The choice of women aside, it's truly too bad I couldn't go.

Oh, you must mean the one the republicans allowed to collapse. Yuk-yuk.

Oh, wait - that was truthout's line, not yours. I get you two confused. Sorry.

Dude, how fat and stupid are you? Really.

It's like arguing with a child. I expect to see you with dirty fingernails and sticky paws yelling some shit akin to "naaaaa – YOU’RE the stupid head."

Fuckin' geek.

1. A cherry-picked slide show from some war monger?
2. If you are gullible enough to believe that actually represents the reality of everyone who attended then I have a bridge to sell you out in Minnesota.

1. It certainly was cherry-picked, but that cherry-picked slide show is what you said looked like fun.

2. Credit where it's due.... that's a good line.

Yes, it sure does. Ignoring the biased and useless commentary, it looked like a Grateful Dead concert, the ComicCon and the Ren Fest all rolled into one.

2. Credit where it's due.... that's a good line.

Thanks. :)
