If he cuts and paste such drivel do you really want to read something he thought up and wrote on his own, Brooks?

Maybe truthout thinks there's real substance to these things he posts.

Maybe there is real substance to them, but the RightWing personality prefers to keep the head firmly implanted in the sand, lest some hint of possible criticism or condemnation reach them.
They are like little children, throwing a tantrum, holding their hands clamped firmly over their ears.

Could say the same exact thing about you FT.

So would you consider an image that says nothing but "We are fucked" to have real substance to it?

I had not even followed the link when I said that. I was talking about the posts and the inherants points, in general, that truthout makes and has been making.
But since I now have followed it, and since you are asking, and given the absolute trainwreck of an Administration that Bush and his band of robber barons have been for this country since they got their hooks (in contravention to the will of the People) on the White House, YES, I would say it definitely is a political message of substance.
Any country that suffers the sort of abysmal political leadership and policies that B*shCo has foisted off on this country is well and truly *fucked*.

It is obviously not a real Time cover. Do you honestly think a mainstream whitebread rag like Time Magazine would print the word *fucked* on the cover?
What it is, is someone's idea of what a Time cover would say if they had the nerve to speak the truth.

That was my point exactly. Can't understand how some were fearful to even click the link. Just wait until Bush takes the Internet away from us, and declares martial law and tries a Rudy and asks that "for the protection of the homeland" his term in office be extended. And the hapless Democrats go along...(Now soldiers in Iraq have no access to the Internet, guess for fear the truth might get out...)

how the hell would i know what it says? i haven't bothered to look. all i had to do is consider the source to figure out that your boy, truthout, was stretching the truth all out of proportion when i read the title, "TIME magazine hits the nail on the head".

considering your track record, all i have to fear from your links is a virus.
go back to your cut & paste shtick, at least you were posting someones else's lies then.

That's not true. They do have access to the internet but certain websites are blocked. The sites that are blocked are ones they say take up too much bandwidth (such as MySpace and YouTube), as well as sites for online games, porn, etc. The websites you say "get the truth out" aren't blocked unless they fall under one of those categories.

Could you please try to prove your point with somthing other than a left leaning source. I realize that I post right leaning sources sometimes, but not all the time.

You're more fulla shit than the proverbial christmas goose (http://www.coquinaria.nl/english/recipes/03.6histrecept.htm).
Folks in the military give up a whole lot while serving their country. If you'd ever served, you'd know that & not babble on about 'proving' anything.
So ...

No, it really doesn't prove your point. They can still access news and political websites, regardless of their content, as long as they don't have things that take up a lot of bandwidth. Besides, soldiers can still access any website they want through their own personal computers.

Could you please try to prove your point with somthing other than a left leaning source. How ironic that you, of all people, would say this. I realize that I post right leaning sources sometimes, but not all the time.Sometimes?
Are you growing a sense of humor behind our backs?
