Your thoughts, if any, could you imagine this guy trying to call anybody a sinner. Comedy night at church? I personally would throw crab apples at him.

The fact that he is attracted to members of the same sex has for me exactly the same relevance as the color of his eyes or his shoe size.
Religionists need to get over themselves and stop judging those with a different orientation as "evil" or "hellbound sinners" or as inferior humans not as worthy and holy as they are.

For christians, isn't every human being supposed to be a sinner, even priests, bishops and the pope ? And furthermore, the role of a priest should not be to call people "sinners".
(Thomas 26) Jesus said: You see the mote which is in your brother's eye; but you do not see the beam which is in your own eye.

I quess I have only known him as the queer Bishop. Well I don't understand how someone can be allowed in a group when the group doesn't allow a certain type of behavior. Kind of like letting a person that worships Satan be a priest of the Catholic church. Or maybe like a hunting group letting a member of PETA be there leader.

That's quite true. Of course the church can do whatever it wants, but personally I don't think that merely being a homosexual is a sin, and I haven't seen any evidence that he's actually engaged in a relationship.

"Paraphilia - Any of a group of psychosexual disorders characterized by sexual fantasies, feelings, or activities involving a nonhuman object, a nonconsenting partner such as a child, or pain or humiliation of oneself or one's partner. Also called sexual deviation."
Sorry, doesn't fit most gays. Fits sadists/masochists, pedophiles, and various fetishists, but not most gays.
Oh, and if you're of the "all gays are pedophiles" camp, then you need to read some research not done during the Dark Ages. Or try talking to a gay guy.

PARAPHILIAS -- Greek for "beyond normal"
Romans 1: 21-32
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God , neither were thankful” but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts to dishonor their own bodies between themselves
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creation more than the Creator , who is blessed for ever. Amen
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature
And likewise also the men , leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud. boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents.
Without understanding, covenatbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God , that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
So what makes Gene Robinson believe God has now accepted paraphila? I missed the reasoning
Oh, and if you're of the "all gays are pedophiles" camp, then you need to read some research not done during the Dark Ages. Or try talking to a gay guy.

Rapture, some Bible quotes for you:
Matt 7:1: "Judge not, that ye be not judged."
And my favorite Bible quote of all time, Ezekiel 23:20: "There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and who's emission was like that of horses"
Oh, and you know what? Jesus never said a word concerning homosexuality. Not one word.

Where in the bible does God say that one sin is worse than any other sin? And since we're all sinners, how could anyone become a pastor/priest?
Besides, God didn't say that homosexuality was a sin, he said that sex outside of marriage was a sin. If he doesn't act on his instincts, is he still a sinner? If I want to kill someone but don't, have I committed the sin of murder?

Matthew 19:1-6
And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaes beyond Jordan;
And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them.
The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
And he answered and said unto them,( JESUS SPEAKING) Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female
And for this cause shall a man leave father and mother , and shall cleave unto to his wife : and they twain shall be one flesh.
Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put assunder
Mark 10:1-9
And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of jordan: and he people resort unto him again: and , as he was wont, he taught them again.
And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him. Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
( JESUS SPEAKING)
And he said unto them, What did Moses command you?
And they said , Moses suffered to write a bill of diborcement, and to put her away.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave unto to his wife
And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put assunder
-CORINTHIANS 6:_9-11
Know ye not that the unrighteous [those that reject Christ Jesus] shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
__10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
__11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
There are other scriptures as well and where Christ speaks of what won't be heaven

Given that the Bible has been re-written countless times over the past few thousand years, each of those re-writes edited to someone's standards, the very least that can be believed in it are direct quotes attributed to anyone.
One of these centuries they're going to figure out that some nearsighted monk, transcribing in near darkness, by candle light, in a drafty chapel, without eye glasses, and probably more than a little dyslexic misread a passage containing the word "celebrate", and penned in "celebate" thinking it was more to Hey-zeuse's thinking, or perhaps he simply could not spell, therby changing the lives of christian holy men everywhere.

All homosexuality is a sexual deviation. (I know, I now face the wrath of the gay crusader....the mighty boyhunt....ooops, borghunter)
Do you have a "gay rolodex" somewhere that allows you to talk to "most gays" in this world? You have said in earlier posts that you yourself are not gay. So how come you seem to think you can speak for the entire homosexual community? Are you not being honest with yourself?

Always with the quoting. I don't know if you're offering this as proof or what. How 'bout engaging in a conversation? Why not tell us what you think. If you agree with what you just quoted, great, but I'd rather hear it from you.

Maybe you could explain to me what "Satanism" has to do with the current discussion about a gay man?!?!
Could it be that all people who are gay are --in your esteemed estimation-- somehow in league with the Devil himself?!?
BTW....why do you use the obscure term "paraphillia" instead of simply saying *homosexuality*....???
Could it be that it is a fear of yours that the old pitch-fork tailed Devil himself might suddenly pop into the room next to you if you should slip and say or think the word *homosexuality*....???
