Welcome JoeHappy.
Allforums is an odd and beautiful place, inhabited by wierd and wonderful characters. Me you can trust, the others I am not so sure of.
Be especially wary of a character named, 'Mikezilla'.
Sure, he may be charming in a superficial manner, and it is true that he springs for beers whenever you find yourself at the bar at the end of the night, and short of a few bucks.
But it's like this:
He deceptively fancies himself a 'Vegan', and it's quite annoying.
He wears t-shirts that say, "Vegan, and proud of it".
Next thing you know, tree-hugging animal lovers are flocking around him, and espousing the healthy benefits of a meat-free diet, and trading herbal tea recipes.
And then once they're all comfortably happy, sitting around on the front lawn on throw pillows and eating carrots and celery and such, he comes out munching on a bucket of greasy hot wings! And then all hell breaks loose!!
Vanessa: What gives? I thought you were a Vegan!?
Mikezilla: I am. Have been since 1975. (gobbles down a drumstick)
Starchild: But Vegans don't eat meat. Or ingest dairy. Those poor little chickens, (sobs) they don't deserve to be eaten like that!
Mikezilla: We true Vegans can eat whatever we like. Hot wings, philly cheese steak sammiches, prime rib, rare steak. You just gotta be careful not to drip any juice on the stick shift. Or the steering column, God forbid. (licks his fingers daintily)
Chastity: Stick shift? What are you talking about?
Mikezilla: The stick shift of your Chevy Vega. It's hell trying to get barbeque sauce out of the shifter linkage of those old Chevrolets. Wait, you are Chevy Vega enthusiasts, right? Fans of the little early-1970's aluminum block runabout? You said you were Vegans too.
(The vegetarian visitors take an uneasy gander at the driveway of Mikezilla's house, and take notice of the sporty red 1972 Chevy Vega. And parked in front of it, the pristine black 1976 Cosworth Vega.)
Vanessa: What the...?
Starchild: Why I oughta... Come on ladies, let's go. We've been had!
Mikezilla: Wait, where are you going? I've got pork chops coming out of the slow cooker in just a half hour! Hey, come back!!
(Mikezilla's dog Spike joins him on the front lawn, and rests for a moment)
Spike: Where are the hairy-legged hippy chicks going Mike? You haven't even served supper yet, and they're gone.
Mikezilla: I dunno, Spike. They took off in a huff. Or to be more accurate, they took off in a VW Microbus. We must've got our wires crossed.
Spike: That's too bad. I noticed you had your eye on that little Starchild babe. She was quite attractive, in a slightly unwashed, Bohemian fashion.
Mikezilla: Yep. I thought I had found the next Mrs. Mikezilla.
Oh well, you up for pork chops?
Spike: Sure am. You can keep the sauerkraut though. I'll just stick to the meat, if you don't mind.
Mikezilla: Spoken like a true Vegan. Ha ha ha ha ha!!
Spike: Ha ha ha ha ha!!
 :woohoo:

I owned a Vega once....it lasted exactly 20,000 miles....it was trying to solve the oil problems of the early 70's by storing it all on top of its engin!:drinktoth

20,000 miles out of an original engine Vega.
You did really well there.

not that one....mine had the original engine out live the body. that was the funny thing about those silicone impregnated blocks-either they died young or you couldn't kill them.
