It was a glorious day to see Michigan football go down in a flaming pile of pooh...to a D-1AA team, no less.

Where's the credit to Appalacian State!? You have to give them some credit for such an amazing upset. I hope they get a bowl game just so they get a chance to prove that they're for real....or is that even possible?

I definitely agree, they put up 34 freakin' points IN Ann Arbor! Why is it so hard to believe a two-time I-AA champion could beat a Michigan team with absolutely no defense?

This is one of the more amazing things I have EVER seen in college football. You just rarely ever see an upset in college football much less one of this magnitude. I know that App. St is a powerhouse in IAA but, honestly, who would have thought this was possible even if Michigan played their absolute worse and App played their absolute best?

Good thing I placed 10 grand on Mountaineers before the game.....not:(

App. St. will likely go to the Div. 1-AA Championship game again this year...unfortulately they will likely lose to the OTHER dominant AA team, Northern Iowa! (Sorry, fiancee's school). However, with a win like that, App. St. deserves all the credit due towards them. Great game!

Michigan fell from 5th in the polls to completely out of the top 25? I am not so sure that is completely justified...but I guess with most of the other solid teams winning - there wasn't much place to fall but completely out.

AppState was seen, just before the game, picking smooth stones out of a dry stream bed and fitting them into a sling.

oh, the humanity! shame on you for saying that; and shame on the rest of you for ragging on my wolverines. :upyours:

by the way, this team wasn't exactly a bunch of busters. here's a little bit of what they've done in recent years.

Appalachian State won the Division I-AA National Football Championship over the University of Northern Iowa 21-16 on December 16, 2005. It is the first NCAA Football Championship by any college in North Carolina. On December 15, 2006 Appalachian defeated the University of Massachusetts 28-17 to claim the Division I FCS National Championship, their second consecutive NCAA national title. The Mountaineers have also claimed seven Southern Conference football titles in 1986, 1987, 1991, 1995, 1999, 2005 and 2006.

it doesn't make losing to them any easier, but it could've been worse. we could have lost to tulane, for god's sake!!

Now they're losing 39-7 to Oregon...and there's still 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter! ROFL! Most overrated team in the history of college football.

Go buckeyes.

Now that Michigan is 0-2, is it time to fire Lloyd Carr?

You all need to shut up.. I went to Rice university.... we suck worst of all. I bet the local highschool could beat us. We went to a bowl game for the first time in ever and got blown out by Troy state last season.... You all have nothing to bitch about....
