Astronomers have stumbled upon a tremendous hole in the universe.

That's got them scratching their heads about what's just not there. The cosmic blank spot has no stray stars, no galaxies, no sucking black holes, not even mysterious dark matter. It is 1 billion light years across of nothing. That's an expanse of nearly 6 billion trillion miles of emptiness, a University of Minnesota team announced Thursday.

The more we find out about the universe, the more questions that crop up, dammit.

it's not a hole, it's just a whole lot of nothing.

It's an elaborate prank. Two weeks from now, they'll announce that the void isn't empty at all, it's filled with gophers made of gold.

I bet at one time a civilization was there that produced to much CO2 nad because of that they ripped a hole in the universe.
