What are some local bands in your area and what type of music do they play? (And by "local" I mean bands that people outside of your state/whatever might not have heard of.)

We have a bunch of Hawaiian music bands here (they don't play the kind of music you hear in cartoons when a character is on a tropical island or something). Three Plus, Keahiwai, Na Leo Pilimehana, Ten Feet... My ex-boyfriend's brother was also in this band called The Darkroom Family. I think they played punk...I can't remember. There's also a bunch of reggae/jawaiian bands... None of which I like or want to mention...
