There can never be too many jewelry threads around here.
The more rocks, the better!

BTW, here's a pretty little rock. Hoping to get this for Xmas but would settle for something a bit more, uh, sedate. Opening bid--- a mere 500 mil.

but...but....that's the Hope Diamond, KC, now kept behind bullet-proof glass at the Smithsonian, soon to be in my own collection.
Do you mean to say that your fiancee would not like to have the li'l bauble to wear now and then???

Oooohhhhh.......40 cents!
And for the record, my fiancee would drop to the ground if I somehow managed to afford ANYTHING like that.

Well, you can always try stealing.
Same here--way beyond our price range. But it's nice to dream...or maybe, not dream. The Diamond is supposedly cursed so badly that evey single owner has met a gruesome end.

And you tried tempting me into buying it for my fiancee?! Either you're wicked evil or you're coming onto me and wish certain doom for the one I am about to marry!
(kidding, of course:))

LOL, what gets me is that there's women who'd actually bankrupt themselves and/or their sweeties to even WEAR that wicked stone, much less buy it.
Not everyone allied with the Hope has died a sad end....do I risk it???
Nah. Sure is pretty tho.

Think of what else that half-BILLION dollars just lying around can get you. A couple of plasma TV's...or regular TV's...or a couple of new cars...a mansion...the playboy mansion...half of Europe...the Cleveland Browns...a whole new wardrobe...and the list goes on.
But I guess if you want to spend it on a seemingly-cursed piece of rock, be my guest.

Imagine owning yr very own football team.
For that, I'd sell my rocks--not all tho. Would want to keep a few for game day.

I'd rather play for a football team...but when that dream is over and done with, it'd be pretty cool. Just hope it's a solid performing team, otherwise the media gets on your case, then the players disband, then the unions come after you and what-not.
...eh, I'd still want to own one as well...how much are the Vikings selling for?
