The only snacks I buy at the movies are Reese's Pieces. I can't find them anywhere else. :(

Aiko ... check out your local WalMart/Target you might find them. Many grocery stores also carry that product.

its funny how easily you can just sneak anything into a theatre and not have to worry about it. I usually go to BP and buy several bags of candy, chips, etc....done this for several years, haven't been caught once:)

I did. But they don't have it. :-\ The closest thing they have are Reese's Cups. Those are good, but I want the pieces.
BTW, I don't go to the movies JUST to buy them... *LOL* Sorry if it sounded that way...

They could just be out of them at the time. Or maybe if you check other stores in different cities, they might have them there too.

Pester your local grocery store to carry them. Most of the larger grocery stores will respond to customer requests. Another suggestion, write a letter to the manufacturer of Reese's Pieces, a real sob story of how you're forced to pay exhorbitant prices at the theater for your favorite candy, & how no store will honor your request for them, and see what happens.
I personally know an individual who wrote to the mfgr of Twinkees complaining that there wasn't enough cream filling, and they delivered a full case of the things right to his door.

Actually, my dog's name is Reese. I can go into the backyard and get some of his pieces and mail them to you if you'd like. :)

I've only been to a few. They're pretty hard to find these days. I like theaters better.

We have a drive-in movie theater here in North Carolina. I love to go to the drive-in in the summertime and sit out on a lawn chair or on a blanket in the cool summer air. We also back the truck up to face the screen and sit in the back of the truck or on the tailgate and watch the movie. You can also see two movies for $7.00 a person. This weekend "School of Rock" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is playing. We also have a $3.00 walk-in theatre on Main Street and they play pretty recent movies too.

Theaters have improved a whole lot in recent years. They've finally gotten the seating right (in most places), the sound systems are fantastic, & it costs more to purchase a soda & a popcorn / snack than it does to walk in the door.
Drive-ins were more of an event than just the movie. However, the last one I attended had no speakers, one was expected to use their car radio tuned to the theater station, and the prices had skyrocketed. I remember paying X dollars per carload as opposed to X dollars per individual.

Ah, drive-in theatres!!! You DO bring back the memories!!! Of course, missin' fully HALF of the first show while walkin' around in the dark and lookin' fer WHEREVER it wuz that ya parked yer car(after buyin' snacks at the concession area) was just PART of the fun!!! Battin' bugs flutterin' around the windshield (inside and out) and tryin' ta see the movie from over the shoulders of the people in the front seat of the car (I alwayz sat in the back as a kid) wuz, well, neato, too!!! But the raison d'etre fer goin' to see an outdoors picture show wuz tryin' ta get the speaker ta work right even if it WUZ busted!!! In a pinch, ya could kinda make out what the actors were sayin' by doin' a bit a lip-readin'... (You kids just don't know whatcher missin'... Bummer, man!!!)
