I'm sure that if we knew the picture of the Saudi flag was going to be considered "insulting" that it would not have been included on the balls. It looked as if there were lots of "flags" on the balls... I'm sure they wanted to show middle eastern countries in particular on these.
Maybe a "turn-in"/exchange would be in order. I don't think that protesting in the streets over this, is a proper reaction. I'm just not "zealot" enough, I suppose.

Isn't there something about feet muslims find insulting? Using said feet to kick something with "Allah" on it probably wasn't the best planning.

In Arabic, the flag says..
("There is no god but God and Muhammad is the Prophet of God")
I agree, poor choice (I doubt anyone did this intentionally). Maybe we should protest in the streets every time someone burns the US flag? Nah... We couldn't get any work done... be in the streets all the time... forget that.
hmmmm.... or, we could print the all the world's major religion's God's names on the bottom of our flag. I'll bet they wouldn't burn it then.

And in other news, footballs will now have Michael Vick's picture imprinted on one side. Players are encouraged to spike the ball after every down, regardless of the inevitable penalty to follow.

Yet another sign of how far apart our cultures are. We need to accept that the US has no business thinking it can make peace in the region.

Since no one else has done so, in the last 3000 yrs, it is pretty arrogant of us.

Just who in the hell is it working for these organizations & making these decisions? Did no-one bother to do just a few moments of research into what the script on the Saudi flag read & present it to the bosses with a suggestion that the idea just might go to hell the way it was proposed?

...but its so easy to shove U.S. culture down the throat of the region: just build a bunch of McDonald's restaurants and Wal-Marts.

The U.S.S.R. folded after Coke, Pepsi, Pizza Hut & McDonald's were introduced.
