My weekend is going good Mandy. My son is finally sleeping and I think I should do the same. I hope you have a great weekend too.

A friend and I went to go see another friend of ours about an hour away from us that I hadn't seen in about two years. We were going to be celebrating his birthday tonight by just reminiscing, playing video games, having a few beers, and just enjoying the night. So we went to his apartment and he wasn't there...called his cell phone, no answer.

So my friend and I hung out at the mall and waited.....and waited.....and waited.....and waited. Three hours later (at about 7:30, we finally got a hold of his brother back at his apartment. Turns out he went into work today and didn't get off until 10 tonight. Yes, a close friend of mine that I hadn't seen in two years decides to celebrate his birthday by going into work and not telling us after we had already spent an hour on the road. I had already waited three hours for him, I didn't want to wait three more. So we went home.

Needless to say; I'm pretty bummed out tonight.

my weekend hasn't been so bad-the twister that tore thru my home town on Friday missed my house. the power at home was only out for 3 minutes, but some ppl won't get there's back for 3 days. and for some reason the cable went out in the middle of the night-likely a loose branch.

I'm retired so every day is part of the weekend. Played golf Friday morning and then did some gardening in the afternoon.

Filled all fourteen bird feeders with different kinds of bird seed today, Saturday and then went to Dick's Sporting Goods to check out a new driver (golf club), Tommorow will begin with church and then two of my kids and their families are coming to the house to swim and barbecue. Monday will be more weekend stuff. The same for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Then the next weekend starts with Friday.

As a fellow avid golfer, details please.

I've got lots and lots of golf clubs, two fulll sets down in Florida and five sets on Long Island, everything from Hogan Radials to a set of hybrids from the one through lob wedge that I play with now. I have two identical sets of those, one in Florida and one on Long Island.

I used to use a Big Bertha driver but I gave that to my youngest son. I have two thirteen degree loft Sasquatch drivers but I tend to hit them to the right in an uncontrolled slice. I am trying to correct that but not having all that much luck. Presently I use a Taylormade Driver, ten and a half degree loft but I am looking to get a Taylormade Burner with a fifty five gram shaft so I can get more carry distance.

I am a short ball hitter due to arthritis and find I can hit the Burner about 235 yards with about a 190 yard carry.

I shoot in the mid-90's. Could be better but I don't get to go out as often as I would like.

Me and the missus went to see 'War', with Jet Li and Jason Statham.

Verdict: One thumb down. Wait for it on video.
