I had two snakes but my friend wanted them so I let him have them.
I would love to have a pet octopus, they are known to crawl outside of their aquarium and I'm not always here to get it back in, I would be afraid it would die.
I would also love a pet koala, I fell in love with them when we were in Australia. If I decide to move there I am going to get a couple.

I love your turtles!
They look like red-eared sliders.
We have a small slider named Pookey. He's evil. Every time I clean his tank, he escapes out the bucket where I keep him for safekeeping. He was found hiding under the bookcase after a one-hour hunt. From now on he's going into the laundry basket so no more adventures for Pookey.
Where did you get your turtles? I bought ours from an online turtle store and had to lie and say I was going to use him as an "educational" aid.....as you prob know, it's illegal to sell/buy them when they're small.

I love animals, I'm just not foolish enough to think I can actually care for one adequately. I'd leave antifreeze laying around or something.

Thank you Rendova, and they are red-eared sliders. :)
I'm taking care of them for a friend, he works at a pet shelter where I volunteer and a customer had brought them it. They didn't want to take care of them anymore, so I will have them until they are old enough to sell.
I occasionally adopt a pet, mostly the ones who have been abused and nurse them back to health. I kept Salem, after adopting him, I couldn't let him go.I don't want to keep the turtles because of the salmonella risk but I don't mind temporarily until they are big enough.
I do get emotionally attached easily and I do like them.

LoL. Salem has spunk alright! and he is very vocal, he talks all the time.
He was reserved and withdrawn at first, his previous owners were mean, they had starved and hit him. He was afraid of his own shadow when I got him, but he has changed tremendously since.
Thank you for the welcome ~Sal~, it's a pleasure to meet you.:)

I really like animals and have had more pets than most people, cats, dogs, birds, fish, turtles, iguanas, snakes, white mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, but now that I travel as much as I do having a pet other than my koi would be too restrictive.
Freedom is when you retire, the last kid gets married and the dog dies.

Hey, Chey, Salem looks sorta like my Cindy if she gained about 5 lbs. and had a white dot on her chest. I love cats and currently have two. Don't know what I would do without them. Read some of the past posting a gathered you lost your husband recently...I'm so sorry. I know it is nothing like it, but mine left me after 29 years of marriage and it hurt like hell. We are friends now but it was a long, rocky road. d.
