Entertaining, though mildly disturbing.
Thought-provoking, provided you only had one thought to provoke. Two tops.
Who was the Australian guy, by the way. Anybody know?

If you have not seen Jesus Camp, it's a documentary about this evangelical children's summer camp at Hell's Lake. I'm not kidding. I believe it's in Idaho.

Evolution means nothing more than change, if you do not look the same today as you did the day that you were born then you have evolved into what ever it is that you see when you look into your miror.
Who but the christian would presume that evolution can not be a gift from God dedecated to the development of his/her humanity???

Damn embarrassing! Scary. As I watched the youngsters at the end being interviewed, I couldn't help but think of all the same-age Muslim's being programmed to strap bombs across their chests...

This line of biblical literalism is so off the mainstream (probably increasingly so; especially so in Europe and East Asia) that I no longer bother become irritated by it. I certainly almost never encounter stuff like this in daily life in my 10 years living in the States. Never really talked to anyone who believes that way either.
If you are born and raised in a small area where the majority believed this, bad luck though I suppose. Luckily today, kids will probably learn all about Christianity as well as evolution by surfing the internet, which would give a wide range of views and discussion. They no longer exclusively learn from local sources that could be controlled and influenced by the local belief.

I live in Texas and am not so sure of the moderating hand of the types of influence you mention. Some people take it as a matter of faith that they must resist evil society, and not just a few nut jobs.

Its really not that hard to find people like this!

Its really not that hard to find people like this!Yeah, this Answers In Genesis crowd seems to be growing in direct relation to the growth of NASCAR and MMA events. Maybe real loud noises and blows to the head are somehow responsible.

There is a three part special on radical religious groups that airs on CNN this week. Tuesday was Judaism and tonight is Islam. The two hour part about radical Christians will air thursday night. I just got to see part of the one last night but I'm going to try and catch tonight and tomorrow night.
