This is so typical of the Conservative/Libertarian mindset. (http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/08/12/cnbcs-erin-burnett-we-need-chinas-toxic-food-and-lead-coated-toys-to-keep-economy-strong/) Chris Matthews was too busy leering at Erin and telling her that she was "a knockout" (http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/08/13/chris-matthews-creepy-crush-on-erin-burnett/) to bother calling her on such an outrageous statement.

“A lot of people like to say, uh, scaremonger about China, right? A lot of politicians, and I know you talk about that issue all the time. I think people should be careful what they wish for on China. Ya know, if China were to revalue it’s currency or China is to start making say, toys that don’t have lead in them or food that isn’t poisonous, their costs of production are going to go up and that means prices at Wal-Mart here in the United States are going to go up too. So, I would say China is our greatest friend right now, they’re keeping prices low and they’re keeping the prices for mortgages low, too.”

No comments from the conservative peanut gallery, eh?
I am suprised Brooks is not defending Ms. Burnett.

Did you read what this lady said, or are you just going to shut your mind and let Rush tell you what to think?

a little off topic but dont you agree? The only MSNBC gals that hold a candle to her is Ayesha Faridi and Maria Bartiromo.

Sorry just saying.....

PS.... I believe Tucker is a female as well.

I think it is irrelivent, especially in a so-called "news" segment. Especially when she is spouting crap like that, about how China is our best friend for sending us poison food "because it keeps prices low at Walmart".

Well said. I think we all know the answer to that question.
