George Carlin is a trashbag comedian. He can't say two words without cussing, his humor is moronic, bland, and uncreative... I can't think of a more overrated comedian ever.

Quiet you, Carlin is cool. :)
Personally, I like reading his comedy more than listening to it. His books are all very witty.

Have you seen or listened to Bill Cosby lately? The man has gotten very old and is losing touch. It's a sad fact, but Cosby pretty much needs to stay out of the public eye before images of him at his peak are shattered by the reality of old age.

Never liked Carlin. Henny Youngman, now there was a comedian. That man could make me piss my pants from laughing so hard.

While I disagree with your assessment of the relative funnieness of the two, Carlin could never be more funnier than Cosby. He could be either funnier or more funny but never more funnier.

I believe that if you were to poll one thousand of the world's most astute judges of comedic talent (or one thousand people on the street, for that matter) the overwhelming consensus would be that George Carlin possesses one of the most potent and incisive intellects of any comedian that ever lived. He is caustic, innovative and profound..........all in the same package.
Comparing Bill Cosby to Carlin is akin to comparing lead to gold.

Carlin is a brilliant comic. While I may not agree with his take on religion, I'm not too 'big" to admit his stuff is quite funny and his word play is unmatched.
I think his attacks on religion were somewhat tempered after the death of his wife. I think that was out of respect to her and her beliefs.

Well I really don't think his views on religion have changed and when I saw him live last year that certainly was not the case. Didn't his wife die 10 years ago? He certainly has certainly made fun of religion since then! And he is certainly good at it! And how about his books? I don't get where you think he has tempered his feelings about religion.
