Man, those chows do get around don't they? Even my little Lucydog has a black & pink tongue and she's a little thing compared to a big ole chow!

Chow's must be the horndogs of the canine world, ya think?

I have a friend who volunteers for the SPCA (she has 14 rescued dogs herself!) Lucy was born to one of her mama dogs who was preggers when she was found, then rewarded her rescuers with 12 puppies! She brought them all to work one day when they were about 4-5 weeks old and turned them loose in the yard around lunchtime. Cutiest lil things you ever saw! She didn't have any trouble finding homes for 'em.

Oh, BTW... she's a librarian. Good folks, those librarians.

You Texas ladies aren't so bad yourself.

We have a library cat here. Her name is Libby. There's been many a young'un who professed to hate cats, 'til they were around Libby. She sleeps in a basket and prowls the building for mice and such at night.

Also we have many give-aways here--strays who wander in, or workers looking to find homes for extra pets. One lady was giving away free chocolate-point Siamese cats!

My librarian friend with the 14 dogs never had children and those pups are her world (besides hubby... she lets him hang around, too). She actually goes home at lunch so she can walk them. Then takes 'em all for a ride in the car in the evening! Last time I had lunch with her, we were talking about how smart animals can be. 6 of her dogs are 'red' 6 are black and 2 are brown. She said she opens the door and says, "OK, all you red dogs outside!" and they know who they are!

Cats are a whole 'nuther subject. I like cats, but don't own one right now. (Or should I say... one doesn't own ME right now) Libby sounds like a cool kat who's lucky to have a good home.

Clean living and a fast outfield. Lots of water, lots of fruit, try to sleep 8 hours a night, and much plastic surgery.:eek:

Well you definitely look younger than you are, since with a 26 year old kid you'd have to be in your 40s at least.

I am 45, and believe me, I feel every year of that sometimes.

Getting old was something that was supposed to happen to other people, not me....but we do the best we can. :)

Sucks, huh? I still feel pretty young most of the time, it's my knees and elbows and hip bones that are old, not me!
