Depends on whether they posted it on the Internet or not. There is a way to find their email address.

If you have someone you suspect it is you can use the people/"find a buddy" search and see what names they've registered using their email. However if they're smart they'll use a fake one. If it was something illegal e.g. threats then it could be tracked, however, a judge would have to order aol to release the records - from their you would get their ip address then you could contact the persons isp and get their info..

But tat could be going through different ports and using a server proxy so....it could be doubtful you would find info about them.

But then again, why would someone threaten someone over aim?
