My last concert was Rush on August 1 at Shoreline apmphitheater. It is an outdoor arena and although I was on the green,I got a $25(special) ticket, it was great. They had a lot of video screens and that really added to the show I thought. All the great visuals. They did not have an opening act and they played like three hours. That was cool. It was like my 17th time to see them in concert. And I have seen them more than any other band! :hula:

I'm going to my first real concert tomorrow, to see Counting Crows. Well that's a band I have never seen live. Is it outdoors? That should be a good show!

Yep, it's gonna be outside. My boyfriend and I are gonna bring a blanket to sit on. It should be pretty romantic, hopefully. ;)

Yes, it was great. Though, Seger still looks like he's trying to climb a ladder when he dances, or whatever it is he's doing. I've seen him quite a few times, in fact I was at one of the concerts from his live album.

Is there a DTE in Clawson, or did you mean Clarkston? Formerly, Pine Knob.

:lolhit: I seen him when I was a teen, but I never paid attention to his dancing.

How were the Counting Crows?
It was a pretty good concert. Not spectacular or anything. Collective Soul and Live were the openers. I'm not a huge fan of any of the bands but I thought Live wasn't very good and Collective Soul put on a great show. I liked Counting Crows, their singer has a lot of energy - he was jumping around on the stage and climbing on stuff and yelling at people for fighting in the mosh pit. :p I don't really like the Counting Crows' music so much but I don't really dislike it or anything.

Wow Collective Soul and Live opened for Counting Crows? I wonder how they chose who was the headliner? I thought Live would have been the headliner. Not that I think they are better I just thought they had sold a lot more cd's than Counting Crows. People were fighting in the mosh pit? I wouldn't think there would be a need for a mosh pit for any of these bands! But it was cool that there were three fairly well known bands for your first concert. Now hopefully your next concert will be someone you really like a lot!

Yeah... my boyfriend was talking about it and he said that it's hard to find a concert to bring me to since most of my favorite bands/artists are dead... There's Johnny Cash... dead. Lynyrd Skynyrd... dead. Guns N Roses... not dead, but my boyfriend won't do anything associated with Axl Rose because he hates him. The Eagles don't tour much anymore and when they do tickets are SO expensive.

Well Lynerd Skynerd is still around. I think they are playing the bay area soon or maybe they already played. Of course, Ronnie Van Zandt is not with them it's his brother singing. I saw the original in the last 70's and they were very good live. I don't really care them today though. Southern Rock just does not have the same appeal to me today. I've seen the Eagles three times. They are good live. Never saw Cash or Guns and Roses and probably would not go and see G&R now since it is just Axle Rose and none of the other original members. When is he going to release the cd? Wasn't it suppose to be released a long time ago?

I just went to a Within temptation concert on the 8th. It's actually the first time I made it to a concert that I really wanted to see. It was a lot of fun.
