Karl Rove has announced he'll resign at the end of the month. Can't say I'm sorry to see him go.

The Architech,as President explained." The Brain " according to
the Media. It was explained that if he stays past Labor Day,he'll
be expected to stay for the entirety of Bush's term.
Whether for the benefit of his Family { as explained by Rove}
or Another behind the scene, grassroots move to formulate
a plan to get GOP'ers elected.
As an Advisor,he can simply be called up By Bush, according
to Bill O'Reilly.
Andy Card and Karen Hughes are gone,so the close friends
of the Pres are all moved out.
Rove did need a break.
I only wish The Big Dems wood also do likewise.
Why can't Kennedy Retire.?
He not even an Old Fart.
Just a Nasty Fart, that needs makeup fur the camera.

Oh yeah, Karl is a real brain ... like in losing the senate and house to the dems in '06 after he guaranteed the republicans would keep both (he had the numbers (remember that one)) ?

Jim Webb should NEVER have taken a lead over George Allen.
The Media literally went BoNkErS over a slight slip of
the tongue.Allen's Infamous " Moo Cock ah " comment.
The Liberal Meida, are WORSE than Vultures when a fresh kill
in imminent. They even thoroughly exhausted Definitions to
a word,that hadn't any.
It's what Dems do.
That Big Pol jughead Bob Casey Jr.,also should never have won.
He skipped a few debates with a vastly more qualified and
competent Rick Santorum.
And in Ohio,a MoveOn.org type Liberal,Sherrod Brown
toppled Mike DeWine,on sheer bullcrap over Ohio's need for
jobs and a Governor scandal.
Dimocrats are Great at Promising Jobs.
So, DeWine, Santorum and Allen all should have won.
Thanks to a pesky,never-ending Liberal media Literally salivating
at the mere prospect of exterminating any an all Republicans.

The Irony lies in simple fact.
The Good Liberal and statesman,Patrick J. Moynihan, hands the
Olympic torch off to a Carbetbagging Fraud,Bigmouth like Hillary.
Like a scene out of -- Gulliver's Travels -- {1939}
I mean, like How Swift can it get.

I mean, like How Swift can it get. Liberal media? I always here right-wingers use this excuse. I think the media is not liberal enough myself. And I don't think they are out to exterminate all republicans. Look at Fox News.(And something tells me you already have) I sure would not call them liberal. And they are the most watched cable news show. And the major news channels I would say are not really that liberal. And anyway why demonize liberals? Are you not for reform and progress? Or do you just like things to stay the same way even if they are not working? There is nothing wrong with being liberal. That being said, I can't wait til that a-hole is gone alone with the rest of Bush's crooked adminstration!

qualified and
competent Rick Santorum.

Dude I'm from PA and Rick came to our steel mill that we owned many many times, promising this and that (with media crews). Never did ANYTHING!! HE is a useless piece of shit.

I compare him to a unqualified worker working in a big company who fools alot of people by hiding his incompetence. He can get by for a few years, but pretty soon people figure him out and out the door he goes!!

Does anybody have a link to the full speech Rove gave at his resignation press conference?

I just caught a glimpse of it. His numerous references to "God" just made we want to puke!! After all the lying, and back-stabbing, outing, etc., he has the fucking nerve now to bring up GOD!!

That's what scares me about this admin, they think they are doing "GOD's work"!!

What will Bush do without his brain?

Seems Cheney and Bush should resign the end of the month, too. Talk about lame ducks.

I love how liberals always try to dispel the "liberal media" phenomenon with "Fox News"... what about the other 50 major networks?

He withstood more slings and arrows (justified and otherwise) than most people would ever have to face.
I'm not a big fan of his but he's no coward.

I can't speak directly as to what Santorum did or did not
promise on that day.I know the steel industry well,as my
Grandparents owned a trucking firm that hauled steel.
So,Bethlehem Steel was a big part of my past,as was J & L and
Republic Steel in Cleveland.
I owned shared of Bethlehem,in hopes that Bush might save that
company et.al. in the steel industry by legislating or
passing some measure to save the crucial yet devasted Steel industry
from mass bankrupcy.Bethlehem was Bankrupt for years then sold
short.Based on Legacy costs.
Just too expensive to operate and still meet the demands of
health and pension promises for Retired Steel workers and their
spouses.
Maybe Santorum was hoping, like I,that Bush could impress upon
Congress the need for immediate funding or some emergency slush
fund to give that Industry time to overcome it's internals.
Japan has newer and better steel, from newer Foundries and
lower labor costs.They also have dumped steel { at cut rate prices}
on the american scene for years.America just couldn't compete.
Same with the Major Auto manufacturers. It's those legacy costs.
At least Santorum addressed the need for saving a once vital
source of many a Pittsburgers Life.
I doubt that Rich boy little jugghead Casey will even discuss the
steel industry.Even if he had too.Which he don't Now.
He won simply on the coattails of his Father's Big Name.

Well at that time there were imports coming from Korea and Czech Repub that were lower than our operating costs. Washington did not move "fast" enough on the anti-dumping legislation.

Anyway, that is another story. Regardless of this, Santorum is a useless piece of crap. Forget my story, what did he ever do as a politician? He is just a talking head. People figured him out quickly enough.

I agree with all you say except the statement about Japanese have lower labor rates. Japanese indeed have much higher labor rates than the US. I know, I do business with Kawasaki Steel (now JFE), Nisshin Steel, Nippon Steel, and others.

But all else you are correct sire!
