I came across a study recently which showed that poor people across the world are getting richer. In fact, they're getting richer faster than the rich people are getting richer.
Check it out:

This study was also refered to in an article in the latest issue of Reason magazine. The article ended with "Now what are we supposed to protest?"

That kind of stuff wont go over well with this crowd man, they hate they system and that will never change. Good news is bad news to them, while the worse things are the more relavent they become, in their own minds of course. It is a good try though. I thought it was good at least.

Sorry, your link is dead.
But I would very much to know more about that study since it is in contradiction with everything I have read or heard these last years.

And there you have it, the open minded liberal has never heard of such a thing, imagine that.

Perhaps the link worked when you posted it, but it now appears to have expired.

I believe that this link (http://www.iie.com/publications/newsreleases/bhalla.htm) is what AudioBoxers was trying to put in.

Thanks you Borg.
Very interesting study. From what I understood, it shows there is a strong link between economic growth and the reduction of inequalities.
But global statistics may hide harsher realities. Countries like China, with a huge population and a high growth, seem to benefit from globaliztion.
But in the poorest countries of the world, mostly Africa, which have smaller population and therefore do not affect much the statistics, the effect of globalization are often negative, especially for the agriculture which cannot compete with western highly subsided production.
