I haven't been able to come online a lot these past couple of days. The reason is I was busy packing. :)
We're leaving to Munich, Germany tommorrow. We'll also spend a few days in Zell am see, Austria (just a few hours away from Munich).
I'm staying there for a month.
So, until I come back, I hope that you're all going to have a great summer! I wish you all the best, and hope that none of you carry any hard feelings towards me.
Farewell!
p.s
The Praetorian and Frogger, we'll debate more when I'm back ;)

And you wonder why I think you are rich, Innocent Sweety.:)
Don't think I harbor any bad feelings toward you because I don't. I just wish more of your Muslim brothers and sisters were like you.
Munich is one of my three or four favorite cities in the world along with New York, Heidelberg, and Sydney. I'll be there in October. Be sure to visit the Alte Pinakotek and the Neus Pinakotek and then stroll over to the Chinese Tower in the English Gardens for an ice cream. They have the best ice cream in Germany. Not as good as Italian ice cream but pretty good.
If you get a chance climb to the top of St. Peter's Church for a good view of the Marktplatz and most of the city.

I hope you have a fabulous summer. Take some more great pics for us... but no suffering animals... that little donkey haunts me... :(
Have some fun adventures, oh, and be nice to the maid. :D

Lol, you must be rich too if you were able to go to all these cities.
Thanks for the tips! If you took a stroll down the English Garden in August you'd find a lot of Arabs there! Mostly from the gulf. The last time I've been to Germany was when I was around 7 years old, so I remember a bit. I'll be sure to let the kids have the icecream (my baby brother and sisters).
I'm not too sure about climbing as I'm travelling with my family and climbing isn't really ideal when you have tiny kids around. Is there any other mode of transportation? I heard that there are trains that can take you to the top of mountains.

LOL that made me laugh. The streets are gonna start melting in August - that's when we'll be back!
That picture was of a horse :woohoo: hehe. I'll sure be nice to the maid. She's a different maid, that other one left us years ago. I think this one's braver :D I doubt she'll take off her shoes on a bridge.

Not rich but pretty well off. Sort of like you say your family is, upper middle class.
Be carefull if you bring the kids through the English Gardens. There are a lot of nudists there. Last time we must have seen close to fifty and that was on a work day when the majority of them were office workers taking a nude lunch break.

Nudists in the English Gardens? I didn't know that was allowed in Germany. Thanks for telling me; I can imagine my mom's reaction, surprised at the amount of nudists and putting her hands on the children's eyes lol that would be funny.

Nude Beaches, Resorts and Spas Are Commonplace in Germany
Nudism in Germany is not shocking, it is daily life. German nudists are everyday people like you and me. The first documented nudist camp was established just outside of Hamburg in 1904 by Paul Zimmerman, although having lived in Hamburg for sometime, I can't imagine why he chose Hamburg to start a nudist colony - most of the year, the weather hardly lends itself to running around naked. Freikörperkultur (free body culture or FKK for short) has a huge following with campsites and vacations spots for the entire family. Germans don't mind nudity. It is accepted and sometimes expected, as in most saunas, where bathing suits are generally verboten or at least looked upon as an oddity. Every state and many cities in Germany have organizations which offer activities, vacation packages and locations to hang out in the nude.
These members of the Deutscher Verband fur Frierkörpheit offer listings of events and locations in their areas.
I am not going to create a list here of all the places you can be nude in Germany (it would take weeks), but to give you an idea, you can be nude in the English Gardens in Munich, actually, you can be nude almost anywhere in Munich. Sunbathing in the nude is commonplace in the major city parks around Germany (including Berlin) and the beaches are very often clothing optional. Whole families (from Grandma down to toddler) frolic on the beaches naked. If you go to a beach, either look for the DFK or FKK sign which indicates that nude bathing is accepted or simply stroll the beach and if there are naked people, you are fairly safe in assuming you too can go skinny dipping.
Face it, there is something freeing about being nude, the air on your body, no clingy wet bathing suits...I am a bit too American - don't really want people to see me romping naked in the sand but Germans have a healthy regard for their bodies and for nature. Nudity is accepted on network television and is a natural part of life. That being said, most Germans generally don't flount it. It is much more likely that someone will sit on their blanket or in their beach chair, get undressed and stretch out to read or chat.
Spas in Germany often have clothing free days and many swimming pools are also clothing optional. Don't wear a bathing suit in a German sauna unless you want the people to know you are an American and for goodness sake, don't stare - if you are a prude, I don't suggest you go into a German sauna. Many of Germany's spas have mens and womens days so if you prefer not to be seen by the opposite sex, check it out with the spa you intend to visit.
The German islands all have nude beaches and the islands of Mecklenberg-West Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein are gorgeous as are the Frisian Island in the North Sea. Sylt is extremely popular with the in-crowd of Northern Germany, make sure to bring enough cash to shop and dine. Naturally, it goes without saying that the best time to visit for nude beaches is July and August. Otherwise, I love the beaches in the fall and winter, the sand dunes, the thatch roofed houses, the lighthouses, and the long stretches of beach are perfect for long walks, a bicycle ride or simply snuggling up in a beach basket with a book or a friend.

That information was interesting Frogger, thanks for sharing it.
Just wanted to say that travelling got postponed. My father's in the operating room as I type this. They're going to remove his salivary gland stones. His glands were bothering him a few days ago, and now it's really swollen and painful. Anyway, pray for him :) alright?
