The surprising thing is that even in the worst city over 14% volunteer. The numbers are much higher than I would have expected.

OH you had me there for a minute.
I thought you were citing Volunteer's in the Military.
The South,Reigns in that dept.Just like it did during
Viet Nam.Big City types,may engage in Civic stuff,but
they're far & away NOT Manly enough to Risk more
than a step latter for hanging Parade Banners.
I believe that The South,and Red States are THE biggest
Patriots in the Land.
Big Blue State Cities,are full of Talkers,NOT Doer's.
