This was something attempted by Trav a few odd years ago...and I'm willing to try it again.

Anyone who's interested in joining a Fantasy Football league, strictly of Allforums members (unless there is a lack of support), let me know. I'd prefer serious players, but that may be asking for a lot. I'm interested to see who's wanting to do something like this...with some of our members of new and old, young...and old.

If it were set up like Trav's I'd be in. I've sworn off paying for FF leagues since I don't pay enough attention to the NFL to make reasonably intelligent drafts.

The only difference would be that you would go head-to-head with other teams instead of just by who has the most points after a week. Otherwise everything is the same: free league, same point system, autopick draft (cause I, too, can't sit there all day and draft a fantasy team), and competitive level play.

I'm game, i'm always in like 10 leagues every year.

The league I set up would have been good but I failed to set up the scoring system right ahd it wound up with some funky scoring system that was to complicated. If you want I can go back into Yahoo and set up a private league with proper scoring this time.

I'd be interested. It would have to have a reasonable scoring system tho....the main part I always like 1 pt for every 10 yards, plus 6 for every TD.

when we get a little closer to the season I will start one up, probably towards the end of training camp.

Yahoo is the only one I do, and as long as we're doing player vs. player format, it's fine with me if anyone else wants to set it up.

Should it be fair then that everyone gets the star player from their favorite team? An interesting concept that could work...provided we don't have too many fans of one team.

yea auto draft blows... I say we do the draft, and this is how it works...

-If the person doesn't show up, the site puts you on auto draft.

-If you don't want to sit through all of your picks, you can do your 1st few picks and then leave, and auto-draft will take care of the rest. You can click a box saying "auto draft" or just leave and after your time is up it will put you on that.

I guess I wouldn't mind doing a real live draft. It'd make things more interesting...we'll have to come up with a set date and stick to it.

Ok, since we have 9/10 spots filled, someone just being in a friend who's willing to play and let's get this ball rolling!

I like the idea of a live draft but it would not be fair to people who can not make it to a live draft if they got stuck with the left overs. Unless they get autodraft in order during the live draft I think we should stick with auto draft just to keep it fair.

I always hate the results of an autodraft, so I would vote for a live draft.

You can change the ranks of the players so autodraft will know who you want.

OK, it seems we will set up a live draft, if anyone has any objections postem here and these guys will straighten you out :D

If we use Yahoo, it will be easy. Set up a live draft, and if you can't make it, the computer will pick for you. The computer usually does a pretty good job auto picking, it will do an even better job if you pre-rank players first.

We'll have to set up a date to do this. When is everyone free?

Anytime during the day is fine with me, silver. I'm usually on the computer intermitedly from around 9-3 during the week, hardly at all during the evenings or weekends. If that's a problem for the others, I'll just use auto-draft, whatever the heck that is.

OK, so live draft it is, everyone rank their players just in case and the computer will pick for you during the live draft. I will get it set up soon, stay posted.

My best time is on the weekends. Anytime then works for me.
