G. Dubya's war in Iraq has not been good for the thousands of GI's
killed and maimed as well as the greiveing families they left behind.
W's war has not been good for America either.
Our global image has been trashed by blantant corruption in high places
while Bush has alienated/isolated himself from the world community in
his sole support for his Iraqi disaster.
However, the war has been good for one group in particular.
Specificlly, Pentagon contractors.
Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, and General Dynamics
(just to name a few) have tripled their revenues overnight
and all their stock jumped by over 33%.
This has Wall St. investors giddy.
And why shouldn't they be?
Bush has earmarked another $100 billion dollars to his war chest
for the coming year alone.
Dick Cheney's own Haliburton has raked in record breaking profits
(of course, no one was allowed to bid against them so why not?).
Not to mention the major oil conglomerates as well.
Tension is the middle east has tightened the belt on supply as
OPEC cuts production while demand remains high for our
gas guzzling monster trucks and SUV's.
The end result has at least tripled prices at the pump.

I saw a bumper sticker yesterday that read:
"What's Our Oil Doing Under Their Sand?"
Of course the Bushites hotly deny the war is Iraq has anything
to do with the second largest oil reseve on the planet.
"It has nothing to do with oil!, barked Donald Rumsfeld awhile back.
Meanwile, Bushites, the Iraqi cabinet, and major oil corporations
have drafted up a new law requiring Iraq to open up it's oil fields
to Western control - a well kept secret I might add.
The new law would transform Iraq's huge oil reserve into a
model for privatization opening 2/3 of the known oil fields to
foreign control.
Instead of the Iraqi Parliment making all the decisions, an unelected
authority called the Federal Oil and Gas Council would take charge.
And guess who has seats on this Council?
BIG OIL!
This autocratic bunch would decide who get's the next contracts.
That means Big Oil would be sole approval of it's own bids!
Under the new law Western interests would be allowed to
divvy up the pie on potential future revenues.
So much for Rumsfeld's rhetoric about "bringing demoracy to Iraq".
