Can anyone tell me who said this on the floor of the Senate this week?

"In my judgment, our course in Iraq has lost contact with our vital national security interests in the Middle East and beyond... Our focus on Iraq has diverted us from opportunities to change the world in directions that strengthen our national security."

Was that cut and run Obama? Withdraw and retreat Edwards?

Nope. It was Dick Lugar, the ranking Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee.

*yawn**yawn*? It's pretty significant if you ask me. Until now, Republicans in Congress have stayed in line with the President's position on Iraq. We now see a prominent Republican senator breaking ranks and, as often happens in politics, others may follow.

Republicans know that if they don't get themselves away from Bush on Iraq it will be round 2 on the last election.

In related news... The Dems don't give a S*#&!
