I dont believe i have ever seen a more entertaining baseball postseason than the one im witnessing this year. That said, i do not think i will ever forget this particular post season simply for the reason that the Cubs once again failed to reach the world series. Not only that, but HOW they failed to get there. Their own fan hosed them. Their tremendously talented defensive short stop commits one of the most horrid errors in postseason history. And thier stud (maybe the best in baseball) pitcher starts serving baseballs as if on a tee. And that was the 6th game. Why Dusty Baker left Kerry Wood in as long as he did will forever be a mystery to me. The kid was getting hammered. I know he is one of the league's most talented pitchers, but he just didnt have his "A" game going last nite. The funny thing about the whole situation is that they had a 2 run lead in the 6th inning and it seemed as if everyone in the crowd was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. And it did. This ballclub just has horrible karma. And until the organization as well as the fans actually start believing they can win, they will always be the hapless, lovable Cubbies.
