In 1990 (after the reunion of Germany) an "Ossi" (colloquial expression for East-Germans) came to West-Germany in order to visit some relatives. He had no car, so he took a taxi, a Mercedis. He had never seen such a car before and he could not imagine why there was this strange thing, the Mercedis star, on the hood, and he asked the driver. At first, the taxi driver wanted to laugh, but then he decided to play a trick on the Ossi. "You know, " he said "in the FRG, the government has not enough money to pay for all the old-age pensioners. That's why they give us a reward of 200 deutschmark for every pensioner we run over. And this thing, that's some kind of cross hair to target them easier. Hehehe.."
Since the Ossi believed his joke, he went further: When an old man crossed the street, he accelerated and in the last moment he evaded. But nevertheless, he heared a dull sound coming from behind. In that moment, the Ossi shouted: "You're a very bad driver. If I hadn't opened the door we would have missed him!"

Ouch :D

PS: Hopefully, I have translated it good enough...
