PRAYER FOR NECESSITIES....(pray for 9 days or 9 hours straight)

O most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity.

Oh Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein you are my mother. Oh Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I Humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me this necessity (state your specific request or intention here!)

There are none that can withstand your power. Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (say three times).

Holy Mary, I place this prayer in your hands (say three times).

Say this prayer for 9 consecutive days and then publish and it will be granted to you. Grateful thanks.

Nine straight days?

Goodness. That seems a bit extreme.
Do you mean nine days without sleeping, or nine days including the necessary business of sleeping, going to the bathroom, and going to work as well?
(Keeping the prayer running in your head, like background music the whole time?)

Anyway, yikes.
Nine days is a long time to be praying.

Well, yeaaaah.

But gee whiz!,...you have to admit it's well worth it to have the Supreme Master 'O the Universe Who Lives In The Sky grant you your heart's greatest desire.

I wonder who came up with the 9 thingy.
Did they try it first for 1 day/1hour, 2 days/2 hours, etc.,etc.

I would like to add that I do believe in the power of prayer to set events into motion to aid us in attaining the things we desire.

The key to attaining results does not seem to be who/what we pray to, but the intensity of the desire for the results. I cannot stress too much the need for intense desire with considerable emotion. To simply mouth the words of a prayer, as the example the first poster started with, I feel, would accomplish nothing.

The act of emotional, intense, prayer seems to set something with-in us into action that we do not contact during the normal course of our lives.

I have heard people say that they have prayed and attained no results; I have seen success with prayer.
The key, I mentioned above, is usually missing from the lazy that mouth words hoping for magical results.
