HI Peter Sandy, and welcome.

Allforums is a strangely beautiful place, full of wierd and wonderful people. Me you can trust, the others I am not so sure of.

Be especially wary of The Dude. He may charm you with his engaging smile, and his gifts of beautiful, home-grown roses, but there is a dark and insidious side to the guy that you must be aware of:

The Dude is a snob.
Whenever he drops by for beers and a ball game, he is invariably wearing a handsome, well-tailored garment that is clearly labeled as 'Members Only'.
This jacket is a sleek, pastel number with small epaulets, impecably laundered, and right there on the breast pocket is a small, tidy label that says it all; Member Only.

We'll stop watching the ball game and stare in awe.

"Say, Dude. Where did you get that jacket? Can we get one too?"

"No," he'll sniff. "It's for members only."
Then he'll smooth the left or right sleeve somewhat, sip his Heineken beer, and fix his eyes on the televsion. Pretending to watch the game.
But knowing that we are watching him.
And wanting that jacket.

So, don't say you haven't been warned.
The Dude will be your friend, but he'll never let you into the league of 'Members Only'.
He's just that way.
