I have bought a laptop and want to go wireless.
Someone told me I need a card for the pc and a wireless router,
is he right,do I need anything else.
Im connected to the net thru a cable company.

That's all you need. You shoulda gotten a Mac, they have built in wireless cards ;)

Well it depends what you want to use it for. If you play computer games you don't want a Mac.

I like Macs because they're pretty and easy to use and everything has a nice pretty picture showing what it does so I don't get confused. :D

You need a wireless router. Your laptop might have wireless built in, a lot do, if not you can get a wireless laptop card on ebay cheap. Just make sure you encrypt your wireless network with WPA encryption. WEP encryption is easy to break. Not encrypting it will mean your neighbors can "borrow" your internet access, or even see what your doing online.
