We all know the 80s was the BEST time for many things,1 of them being CARTOONS!!!!!!

Ah did i like getting up on saturday morning and watching them!!

Today its nothing but GARBAGE!!!! (And not just on saturday either)

Well i found a site today that lists ALL THE EDITING that has been done so far to cartoons in general (80s,etc) and it makes me so angry!!

More than scenes have been cut from cartoons. Entire cartoons have been censored out of the public forum. Any cartoons portraying blacks in a derogatory manner are gone. Back in the forties black cartoon characters often were depicted with big lips and nappy hair and spoke with an Uncle Remus type drawl. Those cartoons are gone from the public domain.

Check out Turner Classic Movies Cartoon Alley sometime. Although they only show 3 classic cartoons, it's worth it just to marvel at how much better they were back then.

(Last weekend they had a Bing Crosby trio... from the 1930's. Who can forget the 'crooner' rooster who wooed all the hens?)

I heard, but can't confirm, that they now edit out the "splat" when Wyle E. Coyote falls off a cliff. I'd look on that website but I don't know the titles of any of them. Regardless, TCM is a good source since they seem to be unedited. I saw a Bugs Bunny one on there with some pretty obnoxious stereotypes of indians.

I used to love going to arcades!!!!!! -- Not anymore,its mostly all crap (Fighting games,etc)
