I have to admit,I almost prayed to go back to very dry years.
All on account I'm sick of cuttin me lawn.I think I've about
cut me fill by now.But that isn't a responsible request to ask of
Mother nature.I do like bottled water.I refuse to drink my tap water.
So's I spend a lot of moola on water.I figger more than a grand
each year on good bottled water alone.Maybe more like $2,ooo.
Now that we've experienced a Mini Dust Bowl, with little relief
in sight,I may need to adjust me thinkin about droughts and their
impact.
I think I'm about ready to stockpile bottled water.
My Lawn can fend for itself.
That IS if a Lawn has a self.
Whatever !

You're better installing a household filter (if you own your abode) or at least a filter at the kitchen sink to get the cleanest possible at the tap for cooking and drinking. If neither option is acceptable, then consider a refrigerated container (from a quart to a couple of gallons in size) with a replaceable filter. You'll save considerably from bottled water.

foolsworth,

Was there a point to your post other than the fact that there's a drought where you live and you like bottled water?

I could've sworn global warming was going to get mentioned along with the fact that Americans driving SUVs were the cause of it, dammit.

Already done that.
probably bought about 3 or 4 Brita/Pur Pitcher filters.
Eventually the plastic gets dishwater stains. With or w/o ever
dishwashing.Plus there's no way to establish the duration of a filter
except those little monthly stickers. That doesn't mean squat.
I buy gallon jugs of spring or drinking water and also some good
little bottles of water.Maybe a liter of Evian or better twice a week.
Water is THE Most important fluid one puts in their body. It's the
most efficient diet aid, also.Drink plenty of good water and you'll almsot
instantely be healthier. Most people get old and sickish because they've
becomes hooked on watered down tea's or just too much soda pop.
The Body cannot function properly w/o the correct amout of water.
About 8 glassfulls per day.

Global Warning is a Political invention, created to help Gore look
attractive and scare the average Human, into thinking they truly
Need a Village.I don't suppose you're familiar with The Dust Bowl Years.
Or Steinbeck's Great Novel - " Grapes of Wrath " -.
We may be in a Dust Bowl cycle, now.
In the 70's TIME Magazine ran a cover story about The New Ice Age.
Technically we're in an Ice Age Noiw,BTW.
If it makes You feel all warm & toasty ta Tink * Global Warming * is heading
here like the Twilight Zone episode - The Monster From Maple St. - ,
go right ahead. However you'll need to take a sharp Left and keep lookin
leftist.

since household filters have been invented, and actually you can get a portable small filter for water, buying bottled water is for suckers.

Probably so.But the taste buds don't lie.I can actually taste
the difference in waters. Most guys can't.
That's the problem with tap water & guys. Most Guys actually believe
ALL water is identical.
Absolutely a worse assumption than many an urban myth.
Plus, just look at the inside or a water line or pipe, when you
change out a water facet.Talk about nasty.

You may want to consider what the source of the bottled water is. Most of it comes from municipal wells in the community where it is bottled, such as Atlanta. The rest comes directly from well water at the plant. Every study I have seen shows no difference in health for most people. It is only recommended if you are drinking well water that has been tested and shown to be bad. Otherwise it is a waste of money.

Yes,some bottled water isn't marked.But most are.
A bottled water has to have some source as proof of
authenticity. Many Bottled DRINKING Waters are from Municipal
city sources.
And yes, there have been a few overly hyped BOGUS studies, trying to
Prove how Bottled water is much ado about nothing.
A quality bottled water will also give the certification or License #.
I'm not sayin or inferring one will DIE or get sick from ordinary tap water.
But I Don't trust it.I never drink from ANY fountain anymore.
Guaranteed to cause possible contamination problems.
Some people still have a hard time comprehending how cold viruses
spread. They spread thru yer hands. You touch a surface with
germs and you touch yer eyes or nose. You shake hands with someone
with a cold or flu bug.
Sneezing into the air is probably THE Fastest way to spread.
Also the average adult hasn't a clue as to how much water they need to drink daily for proper bodily function.
That's why some have craggy skin and looked shrivvelled by age 70.
They were smokers who drank only soda's or Coffee.
Ya gotta drink Water.
Remember when you got a cold and the Doc said drink plenty of fluids. He meant water. It flushes the toxins out.
Git it,thar Pops.
Now,take a few nice jugs of bottled water, out Wits ya,when you
go prospectin,later today.

I've never been one to drink a lot of fluids, but I figured out a couple years ago that a lot of times when I thought I was hungry, I was actually thirsty. Therefore now I drink a glass of water when I feel hungry but know it's not time to to eat yet.

...And could it be coincidence that I weigh ten pounds less now?

Global Warning is a Political invention........

Riiiiiiiiiight.

The world's leading scientists made it all up out of whole cloth, because they adore Al Gore and besides; they secretly are out to 'destroy America'.

A lot of those Scientists got enrichened by running surveys and
tests to help establish a Global Warming trend.
In other words,it paid dividens for Scientists to jump, whole hog,
On the Gore Global Warming Bandwagon
Climatologists certainly don't agree,on the whole.

Tap water is good for you in many ways. Has a little iron in it, has a little fluoride in it. Helps your bones and your teeth. Bottled water is great though, I buy about 3 cases a week, which is 72 waters. So that's 156 cases a year at $4 a case, totals about $600 a year. How do you spend so much in water?

The taste of water is a big deal from me. I can drink tap water, but only directly from the tap. With my mouth under the faucet. Can't pour a glass a drink it. Probably haven't done so in over 10 years.

I'm crazy!

Who enriched them? How much were they paid? How was the money dispersed?

Most importantly, in this bizarre fantasy you're pushing, WHY would any entity pay scientists --and what would they possibly have to gain-- to come up with falsified data to support the global warming hypothesis when (according to you) it is wrong...........???

Climatologists certainly don't agree,on the whole.

True.

Maybe one in fifty or one in one hundred disagree with the rest of the entire scientific community's concensus on on global warming.

And the ones who disagree ARE being well paid; and I can give you a VERY compelling and logical reason why certain entities (such as the huge corporations whose operations might suffer if anything were to ever be done to seriously address global warming) WOULD pay scientists (albeit a very small cadre of them) to do everything in their power to cloud the waters and to obscure the discussion over global warming.
