Reason I ask is because someone brought it to my attention that there has been times in the past, where NASA has made launches that were ordered as total "media blackouts". It was later "leaked" to the press that these unmanned rockets carried military payloads that were destined for our moon.

I doubt there is anything on the moon. About 1/4 of all shuttle flights have carried military payloads. I would guess mainly spy sattelites. If we can build a stealth airplane, it stands to reason that we have stealth sattelites.
