I don't often recommend movies, but "The Prestige", starring Michael Caine and Hugh Jackman, which we saw the other night on pay-per-view, is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

It's the story of 2 rival magicians who'll stop at nothing to one up each other--and I mean nothing.
Tense, atmospheric, absolutely superb acting. And the great scientist Nikola Tesla plays a pivotal part in all this.
Can't wait to watch this again--it's the kind of movie that requires at least 2 or 3 viewings to make sense of all the plot twists and shocking ending.

Five stars!

I agree.

This is a really well-made movie.
(And I'm a big Bowie fan, so seeing him as Tesla was a real treat for me.)

I liked it also. Who were you guys rooting for? I was always on hugh's side, even if he was evil.

That was an amazing movie. I was talking with my friends for practically the next hour about the twists in it. I highly recommend it.

WARNING!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!

I was on Hugh's side too. He was only seeking justice for what Bale had done.

Bale was the truly evil one.

I liked it...not one of my all time faves - or even the best magician film of last year...but I liked it.

The beginning was quite slow, but as the movie progressed, my interest grew and i really enjoyed the ending.
