An amateur scientist has captured new video of the world's most famous monster, Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, who supposedly lives in one of Scotland's deepest, darkest lochs.
There have been literally thousands of sightings of Nessie over the years, and film/video of her since the 1930's.
This new video is supposed to be spectacular. Unfortunately, the news story contains no actual footage. We'll have to wait for that, I guess.

The news story indeed contains a link to the "spectacular" *cough* footage. Interesting, if a bit bouncy, film, but it could be an eel.

Would you mind posting the link? The story I viewed on CNN didn't offer any video.
On the left, near the bottom of the news story is one, Little e. I tried to embed it but...*curses forums settings*
What ever it is is huge. The body looks larger then the head, so I can't imagine it to be an eel.

I saw it, I saw it, I SAW IT!!!
Well, OK... I saw a video of SOMETHING on the news this morning.
I'd say its scientific name is 'huge long black thingy that swims.' It'll be interesting to see what scientists make of it.

It's nothing to be alarmed about, folks. I was just swimming in Loch Ness when my trunks came off.

Haha, I finally get to see the video!
Don't know why I couldn't before, but thanks, ride, for posting the link.
What IS it????
This is a very deep and dark loch--750 feet deep, and cold. It's just possible that a creature could live in such a place and go undetected (sonar, radar, visual sightings) for THAT long.
I'd say it wasn't a dino. Being reptiles, they'd need to live in warmer waters.

I have a summer home on the shore of Lake Champlain in Vermont.
One day while boating with freinds we saw huge bubbles surface
near our position off the south end of Valcour Island.
When we looked over the port bow we saw something huge cruise by
underneath, about 15 ft. to 20 ft. below the waterline, and then
disappear into the depths below.
The wake from this thing made us list from side to side for a
good three or four minutes.
It was unnerving to say the least.
Our freinds attribute this sighting to "Champie".
A large pre-historic creature believed to inhabit the lake.
I used to be a skeptic on the subject but not anymore.
