There are many outstanding figures of the world of journalism here. Some of them I dreamt to meet with for a long time. For I am just modest independent reporter.
Every minute the conference will begin. And everyone discusses future agenda. It is extremely stirring but quite one-sided, imho. For it concerned undisclosed political murders of Russian journalists and problem of freedom of speech in RF.
On the level, I was waiting for more broad and actual subjects. Because political murders became commonness in Europe and USA. There is quite a long list of political murders on conscience of British and US Special Services: Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Anna Lindt in 2003, adviser of Labour Minister of Italy Marco Biagi murdered in Bologna in 2002, mass shooting in Nanterre city council chambers in Paris suburb in the same 2002, murder of Pim Fortuyn, the author of famous ‘Pim Fortuyn list’ in 2002 and of film director and journalist Theo van Gogh in 2004. There is epidemic of violent deaths among politica and journalists in Spain and in USA. And all cases are neglected. Especially in Spain. It disturbs me much for I’m Spanish. And the work of journalist is very dangerous here. If someone needs in example of infringement of freedom of speech. I’ll tell him many nasty things.
It is a pity that meeting is devoted to some other things. It is quite important thing either. But I’ll hope that someone will pay attention to situation in Spain.
