View Full Version : Vitamins
Do any of you take them? If so what ones? Do they make you feel jittery and make your heart beat fast? Mine does. I wonder why it does that.
Any ideas?

I take Vitamin M16 so I can shoot Arab ass better in my vidja games.
Oh, but Imp--stop taking the vitamins immediately. Consult an on-line source (WebMD might have it) to get an idea, then talk with a pharmacist or doctor.
:hahanot:
Thanks, I will check there. I did talk to a pharmacist, she was the one that recommended them in the first place. Suppose I should go back and talk to her again.
What's weird is it's 'One a day', for women.

I take fish oil, ginseng, and a mens multi vitamin daily. Whey protein before and after workouts. I believe they do good for sure. I feel shitty if I forget to take my vitamins lol.

Imp,
Are you taking that multivitamin on an empty stomach?
If so, I recommend that you wait until after you’ve had some breakfast before you take it. One A Day for Women is a good, all-purpose multivitamin, but like all such supplements, it’ll make you nauseous and edgy if you swallow it first thing in the a.m. without any food or drink in you.
Be good to your tummy, and it'll be good to you!

Yummm.
Yes, I was dear. I was taking it instead of eating.:o
I'll try it again then after I eat and see if it does the same.
Why do you take the fish oil and ginseng, Phyrex? Doesn't the multi vitamin have everything your body needs?

Imp I hope you have talked to the pharmacist by now...
When I took vitamins I would do the B C and E group. The B used to help greatly with being tired all the time. Now I just think I likely never ate enough. :D Anyway from the research I did at the time it seemed like those were the best for me.
Now we are into a herbal program with a company called Sunrider. I started out spending a fortune and taking stuff for everything under the sun. Now I take Spirulina which is a blue green algae for protein as women usually do not get enough. I take a cap called Bella for old ladies :D and I take four to six caps called Quinary. I seriously couldn't live without the Quinary. It seems to balance everything in the body. I sleep better and stay calm... :D I can get a little hyper.... hehe... It help also with healing. It is expensive but I think worth it.
Oh and I gonna start with the fish oil stuff... I think it is called Oduo oil or something.
All this stuff has antioxidants in it to clear the body of cancer producing stuff. Off the top of my head I think they are called free radicals... I can get serious about the ingredients and what they do if you want.
Also the site to check out as he is one of the world leaders in nutrition is Dr. Andrew Weil.

The fish oil does wonders for the cardiovascular system, and ginseng is good for your brain in regards to memory and such. The multi vitamin I take because may eating habits are quite sporadic and I want to make sure I get all the vitamin and minerals I need, and more, everyday.

Very true, for me, also. I learned long ago not to take them on an empty stomach.

Imp,
I've found that sex, beer and pizza also works well in lieu of vitamins, and it's a hell of a lot more fun

No. I just stopped taking them and was going to talk to the pharmacist when I got back from PR.
I ate today then took one, it was no where near as bad as on an empty stomach, no racing heart.
I'll have to check into that Sal, and will defiantly looking into Dr.Weil. Thanks sweetie.;)

No kidding? I'm going to have to check that out too. Lord knows it can't hurt.
hahaha Ride. Although there's much truth in that and it is fun!, I think a young lady like myself would benefit from vitamins.
and yeah Borg, my friend in NY took vitamin c all the time. He never seemed to get colds when everyone around him did.

When you have vitamin B52, P and S,
Why would you want chemical substitutes when you have it all here?

Vitamin C is healing too and protects you from harmful uv rays. I take the multivitamin with ginseng, also magnesium and biotin, and calcium, plus some herbs and I drink tea a lot. Having green tea right now. I also make sun tea with it - but drink black tea too and some coffee.

Well, I am healthy, no signs of any illness. i am battling hair loss so i am taking some of the vitamins listed above to help with it, like MSM and some b vitamins. I am taking meds though too like minox, propecia. I then take omega-3 and b-complex to help with depression/aniexity and taking meds to daily, taking Celexa. so I thought it wouldn't hurt to take all these vitamins..
