I have long thought America is friendly towards Turkey. Now I am not that sure. I see most troubling their proclaimed plans to set an independent Kurdish state. Just fancy how it could affect Turkey and other countries having militant Kurdish population. I guess military subduing of the Iraqi Kurds is a must if Turkey wants to preserve her territorial integrity.
But this is not American liking at all. They are scary that military ambitions of Turkey could make Kurds in Iraq occupy more radical pro-Iraninan positions rather than rely on America. Americans actually hate the idea that independent Kurdish state may be get under Iranian umbrella the way it previously occurred with Iraq and Afghanistan.
I think Americans will stop at nothing to prevent Turkish military operation. The other day American military F-16 jets went as far as to penetrate Turkish airspace. I guess that was kind of signal to Turkish haws to cease military preparations relating Kurds.
