Explain to me where in these two links, where both Falwell and Phelps are listed as nutjobs by the thread starter, that Phelps is "an exemplar of Christianity."

Lately Fred Phelp's name has come up again and again in this forum as an exemplar of Christianity. Fred Phelps is an abberation and should not be used as an example of a Christian any more than John Wayne Gacy should be used as an example of your friendly, neighborhood clown.

And who cares if he's a Christian or not? I'm an atheist and so is Kim Jung Il. He actually was a "Bond villain" in Team America.
