I think Fred Phelps is the worst person in the world. I'm surprised no one's tried to murder him yet.

He'd make a fantastic Bond baddie. His evil plan could be to nuke sin-ridden Las Vegas. All his hellfire and righteous anger would lend great atmosphere to the film.

Still not enough publicity yet probably. I've lived in the US since 1996, and I've only gotten to know who he is and what he does since last fall, from randomly reading articles on infamous haters.

Once you know about him, it kind of clicks and you go: "oh so that's the guy behind all that stuff I think I heard about every once a while". But before that, stuff like picketing and god hates fags kind of fly by the ears.

LOL.......unfortunately for those in this country who believe wholeheartedly in the Bible and who ferverishly try to deny this person as a *man of God* in every sense of the word, the Reverend Fred Phelps is very much expressing views that are backed by the Bible--- in a dozen or more instances, he quotes specific Bible verses to illustrate how the Bible preaches doom and destruction against those (for instance, the eville homos) that the Xtian god --right there in his "perfect" holy Book-- says He despises and whom he has ordered to be stoned to death.

Phelps and family are "crazy like a fox". They prey on people's emotions to use the legal system to make their living. Wheverer they go, there is a trail of lawsuits against municipalities and people that infringe on their rights and/or cause them harm. It's all a ploy for money and fame.

I married into a family of a different faith (now divorced - he was a batterer). They condemned my family saying I should never see them again because they would not convert (my family are Christians but not of their Christian faith). They believed that they could speak for God on just about every subject. BTW my ex-husbands current wife died under questionable circumstances and he is under investigation for murder.

Yes in the new testiment jesus said "judge not lest yee be judged" However this guy is taking stuff from the old testiment. I have a question do you think the old testiment is invalid and why is it allowed to printed with the new testiment because they truly conflict with one another. I am curious do you believe the part in the old testiment that "homosexuality is an abomination" and to "kill homosexuals"
If you believe in that part then why not what else fred the preacher is saying? because it is all from the old testiment. Anything else is cherry picking.
JEsus never spoke on Homosexuality. Obviously it was not an important issue for him.
