So which do you prefer:

While I love em' all. I honestly have to give the edge to Deep Purple. :drinktoth

Since classic rock is not worth the time it takes to listen to save a few bands, I'll go with Zep.

I guess, if I have to pick, I was always a bit partial to The Who

Out of those four? Zep, duh.

LOL - I hadn't even noticed that we were only given 4 to choose from

Blue Oyster Cult is English?

There's many a good English band to choose from.
Beatles, Stones, Kinks, The Who, the list is almost endless.

Deep purple all the way the others are ok. But Deep purple gets my vote.

Of that list, I would have to go with Cream.
So simple, yet so talented

I'm not huge fans of any of them, but I do like Don't Fear the Reaper and Burnin' For You - so I voted for them.

I have to go with the cult...because of their remarkable use of "cowbell"

Well I fugured on keeping the list short. Yes I could go with an endless list but that didn't appeal to me.

I am sorry though. I should've put the Who on there, glaring oversight.

I'm going to go with Deep Purple...

On that list, Led Zeppelin. Deep Purple comes in second. The Who really should have been on there though.

Blue Oyster Cult is American.

Whoa, I figured you would've had trouble picking which one over the others.

Which is just proof American bands kick brit bands asses. Largely due to the lacking of The Who on the list.

But I posted The Who without them being on the list. However, I didn't know I was suppose to be looking at a list to begin with - lol:)

Is that English?
I've been listening to reggae recently (meaning the past two days I haven't slept), and it has taken a toll on my English.

Well Excuuuse me. I said I was sorry for missing the Who.

Doesn't change my mind, I still Like Deep Purple.

However I'll be honest, I really thought, (and apparently was so convinced I saw no reason to check up on it) that Blue Oyster Cult was british. I shall refrain from such a mistake again. My apologies.

I agree love my Deep purple but what about Def Leppard..They rock pretty good. HMMMM

Would Def Leppard be considered Classic rock? I'm not sure as I get older what falls into what category - lol. I just figured it was newer because it wasn't around until high school, for me anyway.

Def Leppard are an English hard rock band from Sheffield who formed in 1977 as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. High sales of the albums Pyromania and Hysteria made Def Leppard one of the top selling rock bands of the 1980’s.

I guess maybe but they made quite an impact on the music industry.

Def Leppard is not a classic rock band, come on now. They are a 1980's hair band.

AbbeyRoad

Yes, 80's hair band but a long lasting one ( I probably need plenty of chiropractic work from listening to them just the same - "head rocking").. I still would not classify them as Classic Rock. I like them a lot just the same.

Not from England!!!!

Not from England!!!!

Yes. We've already covered that. The deceased horse has been beaten quite badly. They are in fact from long island, NY; apparently despite what I had previously thought I am rock history illiterate.

Zepplin, hands down for me. My classic program plays a "get the Led out" everyday .... I would choose any of their stuff over Beatles tunes every time. I also like the Stones and would put them over the Beatles too but not close to Zep.

This poll proves it--Cream sucks.

I would say Beatles,Stones, the Who, then Zep! Man, I sure the Kinks, Black Sabbath, and Yes would be on the top ten english rock bands for me too. As far as classic rock goes!
