Do they mark May 9 (8) in America? Any celebrations, festivals..? Even on Euronews they showed today parade in Moscow, but not any word about what's up in the US or Europe.
Anyway, taking the opportunity, i congratulate you all with the 62d anniversary of german capitulation.

This day isn't celebrated in this country except for a few official ceremonies that are hardly mentioned in the news at all.

You should save the congratulations for yourself, since it was the Russians who did most of the work destroying the Nazis. :drinktoth

They also killed a lot more Germans than England and the US did.

Edit: Of the 5.5 million German military casualties in WWII, 4.3 million of them were from the Eastern Front.

Yea they did.Must remember to ask D about the Nazi war graves in Russia,if they.re kept clean and tidy,or ploughed over and planted.

but yeah, V-E Day is on the calender along with V-J Day.
