Netscape version 6 is out and this time they may have done something that will cost them their company. Whenever you use the search button in their browsers it keeps track of what you search for, and all information you enter at sites like match.com - then it sends it to them. They didn't tell anyone the story broke on TechTV yesterday.

Netscape has been battling Microsoft's Internet Explorer for years now, and in my opinion this was a fatal mistake by Netscape.

Well, not like Microsoft is the High Protector of Privacy either, but this could be the anvil that breaks the camel's back.

Netscape will never ever win versus Microsoft. They're just not good enough.

Well, I'm still hoping that the US government will do the right thing and put some restrictions on Microsoft. Sure, they have made great products which have benefited many, but they have also thwarted the competition and controlled the evolution of computing in the process.
