When water starts over the shoetops of the Rightwing cretins in this country, they will STILL be denying that it is happening.

Their capacity for self-deception is a thing of wonder.

The weather in Ireland this week is in the mid 60s, has been in the mid to low 60s for about a month with only a few wet days. Winter this year was hardly worth talking about, I cant remember anything like it.

Scientists started to realise that the melting of its giant ice sheet, which the 2001 IPCC report had said would take 1,000 years or more, had dramatically speeded up, and its internal dynamics had not been properly understood

so they couldnt have been wrong with thier original prediction? and now they are fully aware of the internal dynamics of a giant ice sheet? Thats one of the biggest problems with global warming. Since the original predictions are not coming true it must mean there is a global crisis. It is junt inconcievable that the original predictions were wrong. Yes, the Earth is getitng warmer, it has a tendency to do that. In a few hundred thousand years it will get cooler. Ice melting is no proof that ameica is destroying the earth.

Then you get some joker come along saying "boy sure's hot this winter, must that global warming!, I havent seen anything like this!" while in another part of the world they are having sever cold and severe winter, and that too is blamed on global warming.

Sorry, I wont be convinced we have started this descent into hell and at the same time can stop it by altering our lifestyles. The earth is going to get warmer, it does what it will. if we all die off because of it add us to the list of the hundreds of millions of other creatures that have gone extinct long before a human ever fired up his SUV.
