Alright. I'm looking for suggestions to a good way to market some comic books. I have boxes and boxes of them, some golden age, mostly silver age and international. A few underground. O yeah, and lots of paraphnilia *characters in boxes still, etc*
I'm looking to sell them off but the greater collections. I have many to the spiderman, batman, justice league which I am going to keep but want to sell the rest.
What is the best way to do this? I can get a comic guide book, look up the value first. If anyone has ever sold items like this, I was wondering if it would be easier to take them to a local shop, or do it on ebay, or a comic forum, etc? I also have the option to set up a table at a flea market.
What would you suggest?

Ebay....you might make more off shipping than the comics books are worth.

starting with a price guide would be a good idea, just so you know what to ask;)

That's right, Imp lives near Sevierville. Poor woman.

She could try to sell the comics to her neighbors but most of them can't read.

haha. That's it! I'm tellin' Dolly on ya!:slap:

besides, they bargain here.
I have no need for a can o skoal, a whittled stick or a clay pot.

Cool story though. Went to the store the other day and there was a mountain man and his lady there. He was carrying a whittled wooden thing and blowing into it. Prettiest music I've ever heard. You could hear it thru the store.

I told a friend about it and he said 'So? get used to things like that. Thats what those folk do around there.'
I thought it rather neat. Had he done that in NYC, they'd of beat him to death with it and shoved it up his....

Won't do you much good. My youngest son's wife is from Sevierville by way of Miami Springs and is related to Dolly. But then again almost everyone in that neck of the woods is related. Extremely small gene pool.:lolhit:

hahaha.
I laugh because I know you're speaking the truth. I was at Mel's Diner in Pigeon Forge and got to chitchatting with some folk there. Every single one of them was a cousin or something to her. haha

Ebay is the best, because it is the most efficient marketplace on the planet.

Hi;
Sorry took so long, ok her is his info

He said if you are serious about appraising then try a local comic store and see if they carry a book called, "over streets price guide" (30.00$)edition 37 is the newest. then he said to google, Comic book grading. This should give you a guide to go by and tell you how to grade the comics you have and what condition they are in.
he said then if you really want to find what some of the ones you are unclear on he said Ebay search that particular comic and see what they go for. Ebay and your local comic stores are you best bet. He said a yard sale is only good for the ones not worth much. or you can sell them in a block of comics.
He said do some research though as you never know what you might have or not have.
Hope that helps and he said if you need any more help to let me know.
