The best way, I'm told, is running or cycling. But your diet has to be right for it to work. Eat proteins and fats, and not carbs. Don't do the low-carb thing, but carbs aren't the best sustenance for aerobic exercise.

proper nutrition will reduce overall body fat content, and core strengthening exercise won't eliminate stomach fat, but it will strengthen the muscles under it...giving the illusion that it does. as an added bonus, it will improve your posture and head off back problems.
or there's always Liposuction:eek:

From my experience, diet is 65% of the process. It's all what you eat. Cut empty carbs (sugar) from your diet, drink lots of water, you can still eat carbs but make sure they are "good carbs"... like flaxeed pasta, fruit, wheat bread, etc. Don't be afraid to eat high in fat either, because the cutting of sugar from your diet might leave you hungry and craving. Meanwhile, fat is what fills you up. Eggs might have alot of fat, but they are very healthy for you, and you should be getting 25-30 grams of fat a day, if not more.
Sit ups are misleading.. they tighten your stomach, but also strengthen it, pushing it out. they also burn very little calories because they are such a small muscle group. Do 30 minutes of cardio 5 times a week, working your legs, which are the largest muscle group, and burns the most calories.
Take some supplements too! I take CLA, 3,6,9 Omegas, L-Carnatine, A good natural multivitamin, apple cider vinegar to detox your body.. that can help. Look at the NOW brand, they are natural and produce good stuff.
Don't eat much, and exercise.

Im almost 22, I look at all the labels of stuff I buy. Some of the stuff in processed foods is straight up poison for your body. I deffinently dont get anything with trans fat in it. I skip the saturated fat where I can, but things like tuna for instance has some sat fat in it, but its good for you. I skip as much processed sugar as I can too, however I do induldge in assorted candies and such from time to time. Granted some of the food here you cant really help but to take in some of that stuff, but I try not too eat much of it, so its all good. Oh and I eat Subway by the boatloads. Never ever eat whitebread, always wheat, and either turkey or roast beef (or both) with tons of veggies, and one of their delicious fat free sauces lol, really they do taste great for being fat free.
The very best way to burn fat is to run. I do about 25 miles a week, and I lift as well. Lifting+running is great. If you do both, lift first then run, it skyrockets your matabolism. I take extra strength fish oil (its great for you cardiovascular system and brain) a good mens multi vitamin, and gensing extract everyday as well, seems to work well. And then Ive got the giant tub of protien powder, I shake an hour before workout with skim milk, and then one like right after. Drink LOTS of water too, I drink about half a gallon a day at least, It probably makes up like 85% of what I drink. And this only takes up like 6-8 hours of my week to stay in friggin awesome shape. Good times.

You know what really helped me, don't eat after like 6 pm for two months and you'll see a big difference. Do that with a combination of running and you'll lose weight in no time. I love pasta and I eat rice everyday and I still lost a lot of my stomach fat as well as thigh fat. I didn't change my eating habbits at all so don't starve yourself. Just run 3 miles two or three times a week and stop eating after 6 pm and believe me you'll notice a big difference.

When I do that, I will wake up around 1 am hungry. If I eat fruit before bed, this doesn't happen.

what's the best way to lose stomach fat?
40 sit-ups a day for sure. Im serious... if you do 20 sit-ups every night before you go to bed and 20 sit-ups after you wake up in the mornings, I guarantee your belly will do down.
You would see a change in 3 days, dependent upon your metabolism.
