I have some really cool images that I want to upload to on my hosting site but I am told they only use GIF and JPG formats. Some of the images have .art at the end of the image, like tm.art. which uses internet explorer

Please advise

Thank you

Turtle Moon:)

Wow, nobody checks this section very often... Is this a little late? Well, just open them with a compatable image editor, like gimp or photoshop(the better ones) and just resave them as the prefered format. And I have no clue what the .art is, I have never heard of it before, but I don't think I saw it on the list of compatable formats for gimp though.

Thank you for responding Blibblob, here is an example

I use a IBM PC. When i see an image I like I will hit save as and then the IE logo comes up. I was thinking maybe it works on MAC.

Go to properties on the image and you will see .art.

Well, I don't really see how there should be a problem. When getting images off the internet you do just save picture as, then the download manager should pop up and ask where to save to and which format to save it as. Most images on the internet right now are jpeg because it is a more repeatably saveable format without loss of quality. As for properties, which version of windows are you using, mine is 2000, and the property viewing ability for each os is not the same. On mine, all it says is that it is a gimp image and the format it is saved as. Did you try just opening it in a image editor and resaving it. Even paint allows multiple image formats.
