ok first of all my deepest condolences go out to the grieving families of va tech and the nation..but i been hearing on the news how they keep saying he was a "loner, quiet"...i get sick of hering how they keep typecasting him..i wonder what his parents think they are mourning too..but something tells me that since he was described as "not being responsive" that he was picked on in some of his classes..IN NO WAY AM I CONDONING OR ADVOCATING what he did..but i even heard a news reporter say "of course it was a loner" who did this...and the whole time im getting kinda furious..how come they arent shedding light as much on the fact that he was on depression meds as much as they are exploiting him? how come no one has stated that this horrfic act was a possible side effect of his meds? we all know that usually antipsychotic and antidepressants can make one's behavior worse than before.. they even keep giving us his bio like all that is important ..i mean all that is irrelevant, he is gone, innocent lives are gone, so how does that matter now?..what people fail to realize is that even the most "outgoing, fun-loving, all around extroverted, gregarious" people ( as society call them) can commit such inhumane acts as well.. and also the news keep saying how it was the school's fault..the school did not know wat was goin through this guys mind , the gunmen himself probably didnt know, but we do not need to say its the school fault or this could have been prevented only to justify the means when someone ..no it was the devil's fault..and one more thing the news keep talkin about how the victims themselves decribed their own personalites on facebook and myspace as "good person" ..ISNT THAT THE POINT OF THOSE TYPES OF SITES?..we all want to portray ourselves in a positive light so that is pretty much expected..well anyways, i know that its not always the "dejected recluse who keeps quietly to himself and no one pays attention to"..or maybe its jus me who feels this way?

Ditto on the condolences to the families and advocating what he did but that is where I stop w/you.

Life is NOT FAIR! Depression is scary and DRUGS can MAKE it WORSE. I know this first hand from my brother who lost his 40 year old wife. Sometimes the anti-depressants actually make things look worse!

What he did was not right. Why he did it does not really matter at this point but I believe he killed is ex-girl friend and the RA who tried to protect her.

What matters is that people (male & female) understand that life goes on. Things don't always work out as one feels they should and THAT is why you SHOULD NOT KILL!!

He solved nothing. He is dead. He is not any happier w/the situation. He caused a lot of grief for NOTHING. A relationship that was bound to expire in time! Go figure.

The "Devil" has nothing to do w/this... being a LONER has NOTHING to DO W/THIS. He had issues. He didn't deal w/them and he hurt a lot of people because of that... many who did not deserves to be hurt!

Be a recluse if you want to but UNDERSTAND that is YOUR CHOICE! Don't take out YOUR CHOICE on others!

mean while the stigma of mental illness just went up 10 fold. What him "he is on anti-depressants"
be afraid of her she is in therapy she has issues she''ll probably murder her kids or something.

Be careful of the shy guy he is prolly the next school shooter!

90 percent of people with mental illness are NOT violant but they show the 10 percent that is and smear it all over the media.
same with muslims. They never show the moderates and all the good they do just the 10 percent of the wack jobs who fly planes into buildings and they wonder why muslims feel they are misrepresented.

anti depressants are dangerous and needs to be better monitored. These doctors pop out these happy pills and send you on your way. Anti depressant cannot be messed with without proper supervision for at least 2 weeks.

THEY CONDONE all these pills and many have been shown to cause adverse results.

Stay away from FDA DRUGS... they ARE PAID TO APPROVE THEM!

GO figure... thanks USA Government... for NOTHING!

Studies have recently shown that placebos are as effective as anti-depressant piles in many instances. In fact, the more expensive the placebo the more effective it is.

I think people who kill like that believe people will care about things that bothered them if they do this kind of nasty stuff.
So how do you fight this.

I certainly wouldn't change things to justify his actions.

You'll do well not to quote warrior1972 when you are trying to make an intelligent point around here, lifelongnomad.

She was an ignorant, argumentative, blubbering harpy.
(Plus, she smacked her kids around. )
We're glad to be rid of her, thank you.

I don't even remember her political opinions... All I remember was that she was EXTREMELY amusing.
