"US War Leaders this past week launched an unprecedented attack upon one of their most politically 'connected', and legendary, radio hosts named Don Imus after his threats to release information relating to the September 11, 2001 attacks upon that country."
"But, to the US War Leaders, Don Imus represented the most serious threat, to date,..."
"From our past research of the tactics used against those threatening America's War Leaders, the likelihood of imprisonment for Don Imus would only occur..."
"To the American people themselves their remains no evidence that they know, much less care, about the dire state of their once Free Nation."

Dzerod,

Don Imus is a well known, liberal, radio talk show host. Part of his persona consist of making outrageous statements about people. He was influential because many powerful and important politicians and news people would visit his program. He is also known for the amount of money he gives to charity.

He may have been viewed as a clown before, now he is merely the fall guy for a societal problem long grown cancerous and rapidly spreading.

Oppression of freedom of speech? Absolutely.

Oppression of freedom of speech yes, along with societal compliance with the likes of Jackson and Sharpton, along with the degradation of women, along with illiterate rap artists/and corporate sponsors that no one challenges who make millions of dollars because of a society with no rudder. There are many issues that should surface and be dealt with here.

That's many societal problems, not just one as you said. Though degradation of women, that can stay. Make me a sammich!

While it was the right of both CBS and NBC to fire Don Imus I have no respect for their corporations because they did so not out of conviction (they kept Imus on for years knowing how he spoke) but because they caved to the two hate mongers Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

Pravda's been doing this since time out of mind. Predicting the end of America, mocking America's freedom of speech, the entire idea that it's a militaristic government that is truly in control of the States. It's all pure garbage.

Dammit.

And what do you think of the corporations who bowed to pressure against the Dixie Chicks or who put Air America on a blacklist?

Were the people calling for those boycotts also "hate mongers"?

And what do you think of the corporations who bowed to pressure against the Dixie Chicks or who put Air America on a blacklist?

Why is it that when the media is described as liberal, an AllForums "progressive" says the media is bigbusinesscapitalismmoney, and yet when AirAmerica can't pay its bills, it's a conspiracy.

If AirAmerica had one fifth of Limbaugh's ratings, businesses would be fighting with each other to sponsor it.

Brooks are you really so thick that you don't believe the Air America blacklist existed?

I find it very telling that you pay such close attention to what Pravda reports.

Brooks are you really so thick that you don't believe the Air America blacklist existed?Do you think if they had listeners they would have such a hard time finding sponsors?

I think you're looking for a conspiracy because you think there is a more significant conclusion to be drawn by Air America's lack of success.
It doesn't mean their ideas or agenda were necessarily wrong, just that they were a poorly run operation starring people who couldn't draw a large enough audience.

Air America has plenty of listeners. That had nothing to do with the blacklist or the previous owners.

I will have to take that as a "yes", apparently you really are that thick. I wish I could say I was suprised, but I am not.

And FYI, Air America has been under new ownership for a little while now.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your fantasies.

Are you saying that they would give a good return on the advertisers' investment but the advertisers won't get involved because of the blacklist?

Wow, you are a quick one Sherlock.

I purposely go out of my way to support their sponsors and to let those sponsors know why.
